Garrison's public burning of the US Constitution

It was the 4th of July - 1854-- William Lloyd Garrison publicly set fire to a copy of the U.S. Constitution! He said it was a "covenant with death" and "an agreement with Hell" because in its original form it allowed slavery. I admire his courage, and strength to withhold from bloodshed. He sent his message alright. What he stood for was clearly, and boldly represented that day. He is a man to respect. He risked his life everyday for the freedom pf people. His publication of the Liberator, his work with the American Anti-Slavery Society and his method of moral suasion make him an leading member and force of the Abolitionist movement. He wanted slavery to end in its tracks -- not gradually lessen, and you know what? I Agree.
